In vitro fertilization (IVF) is a long-standing assisted reproductive technique applied to couples who cannot have children. Today, IVF is one of the most preferred infertility treatments.
In vitro fertilization treatment involves the collection of eggs, which are female reproductive cells, and combining them with sperm, which are male reproductive cells, outside the body in a laboratory environment to achieve fertilization. The difference from natural pregnancy is that the fertilization process is carried out under laboratory conditions and the fertilized eggs are placed back into the mother's uterus.
